baby.

After a particularly frustrating night dealing with school, I am reminded why I decided to go back. I took this photo of Emery last night. Funny enough, I was having a rough night last night too... Emery returned home from his daddy's yesterday and he was able to stay up for a little while before I got us settled into bed. I was upset while we were snuggling together and he recognized that. He rolled into me and took my hand into his, kissed my knuckles, and then placed my hand on his chest and continued to pat it. How could this tiny creature know that that is exactly what I needed at that exact moment? A little later as he was wearing down, he rolled into me again and we were nose to nose... He put his little hand on my cheek and whispered, "I gotchu". Be still my heart.

Emery, YOU are why I continue on.

summertime.

TWO photos today. These are from yesterday.
I still can't believe how lucky I am to be his mother.
Sometimes it is still hard to believe that simple fact.
I am a mother. And his.
And he is perfect.

"emmy do fimmin'" or Emmy goes swimmin'

I can't believe that my two year old is THIS comfortable in the pool.
He really is growing up so fast.
I'm loving every moment.

This will never get easy.

I came into my room holding my breath. I'm well aware Emery isn't here. He's with his dad. Today at work felt like a lifetime and then I went to see Kyle, maybe to help distract myself that there is a huge void in my heart right now.

I came into my room holding my breath and then tripped over and stepped on the mess of toys all over the floor. And then before I could curse, I crumbled to the floor in tears. The emptiness of my room is too overwhelming without him.

This will never get easy.

Pretend City.

So I took Emery to this awesome place called Pretend City in Irvine. A friend of mine had taken her son, and one day when I was really bored and wanted to take the baby somewhere, I googled the place and fell in love just looking at the website.

It's just a warehouse, really, that is created to be like a little city inside. It is complete with a bank, fire department, library, home, farm, and a ton of other places!

It was a drive for me to get down there, and my stupid directions took me down TWO toll roads (I'll be getting my tickets in the mail soon :( LOL) but it was so worth it! I was really shocked at how kid friendly the place was. I felt totally safe letting him run the show. He ran around and just played with the other kids, and I never once had to tell him he couldn't touch something, etc. There wasn't a single place in there that he could hurt, or that he would get hurt playing with, etc. He is also rather good with other kids, so sharing wasn't a huge issue either. I felt relaxed and safe and we are totally going again sometime soon!

Here are a bunch of photos. They are rather blurry because Emery is a major busy body, and I was trying to keep up with him and make sure I had enough memories of our first trip.. Lol. I'm so obsessive.

It's no secret my son loves cars. And that's really all he wanted to play with... All the cars.

The beach.
He gets a "timecard" for all the jobs he does. At each place, there is a spot to stamp your timecard.
He didn't really get it, but loved slamming the stamp down...

Look at that face.. Pure joy to be splashing and making a mess :)

Brushing the teeth!

emery's first haircut.

I won't lie. I was super reluctant to take Emery in to get his hair cut. It wasn't just the simple act of getting his hair cut. I was just feeling sentimental (doesn't every mom?!?!?!) about the fact that his baby hair would be gone. Forever. Yes, they gave me a lock of his curls. But I would no longer be able to run my fingers through the hair that grew on his head while he was in my belly. First time mom problems.

My mom and I took him to a place called Little Kutz, and I was extremely shocked how great it was. It got semi-bad reviews online, so I was hesitant. But overall I was happy. The waiting room was play central. It was full of toys, cars, trains, action figures... You name it, they had it to play with. And then when it was our turn, the woman cutting his hair was ready with toys and distractions during his haircut. He did really good.

Before.
During...
OoOoOo.. What's this?

After!
Then we went to Target :)
They give this cute little certificate commemorating his first haircut. I love this cute little touch... And it's something I can add to his baby book with his hair.
Yay!

Newest Charmsation updates... I first just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who went to look at my little Charmsation website. I haven't been too heavy with advertising this because I have yet to get myself a domain name. The website they gave me is long, and I plan on buying a domain name so it's easier to get to and find. So for now, I will just continue directing you all to my link (<---- Click That), and will continue updating from here as well.... Also as a reminder, my link can always be found here on my blog. Just go to the top of this page, and on the right side there is a little pink box under the heading CHARMSATIONS. Click that and it will take you to my website.

So they just announced that they will be releasing special limited edition Halloween bracelets. I LOVE them. The bright green and orange I would love to just have in general. They're also releasing the pumpkin charms. Here is a sneak peak.

These specific bracelets can also double as pet collars for small dogs and cats. They are light and thin enough for them to wear.
A closer look...
Something else to keep in mind... These are not just for the ladies. These charms without the rhinestones are just fine for little boys or men to wear. I already plan on getting Emery's daddy a keychain with these type of charms...
So that's all for now. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend eating lots of BBQ and drinking cold beers. I will be resting up for a busy (I'm positive it will be) day at work tomorrow. Yay! (sarcastic).

xxoo.
